A Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day here! And I actually feel like i got a good chance to enjoy it. I was over at a friend's place, and another friend had come over.. each of us has 2 kids, so when you add that up, there were 6 kids! And they were ALL fantastic! I love playdates that work like that! and because they were so well behaved, we actually got to visit and catch up.

They started off in the sandbox, then the sprinker, then when it started to get a bit overcast, they all wanted to go inside and play. How often does it work out that all the kids want to do the same things at the same times. NEVER. this was amazing and totally goes in the book of records as a great day! and to kick it off, i didn't have to cook (LOL like that would have happened anyways, but hubby got out of cooking) i picked up dinner on the way home.

I hope everyone had a sunshiney day that they got to enjoy.

All About Me

I went to my hairsalon today to get my eyebrows waxed, and I got a new girl. I always go to the same place and i try to get the same person, but it doesn't always work out. I hate when new people work on me because i am never happy. I have never had this woman do anything on me, and i regret it. I hate what she did, i hate the job she did. They are way too thin (all she needed to do was clean them up a bit, but no!) and they are uneven. I don't know if you can tell from the pic. And, her tweezers had sharp edges on them that scraped and hurt and i hate that i didn't say anything at the time. I should know better. the other lady that was there (that i don't overly care for) would have been better! *sigh*...

i feel like i look like a bloody vulcan... LOL

On a happy note, my children got along SO well, this morning that i decided to take some pictures. Of course, the moment was gone, but i got some good ones.

A Good Day

I think one of the things i love most about my son is the cute things he does. Such as; as soon as he grabs something with his hand, he opens his mouth. I really have to get a picture of this! He does it all the time. Most of the time he never even gets the object in his mouth, but he sure tries hard. Usually he bops the object into his forhead, eye, or nose and tries to drag it down toward his mouth, but often drops it partway and forgets about it or tries again. all with his cute little mouth gaping open. is it cruel to enjoy watching this?

I got to play with an excel spreadsheet today. I LOVE that.. i don't know why i love it, i didn't even get to play with numbers. But i did play with formating, cell sizes, formulas, and figuring out margins. anytime i have something i can use a spreadsheet for, i am so happy and off i go on my merry way, playing with excel. Ah well, at least i am easily amused.

Senior Kingergarten

Yesterday was my Angel's last day of SK. I couldn't believe the number of moms tearing up or crying entirely. It was a little bittersweet, but nothing to cry over. Is it just me? Am I missing a gene or something? Anyways, my daughter gave her teacher a big hug! She has had the same teacher for two years (junior kindergarten and senior kingergarten), and she will be getting her first new teacher in September.

I was supposed to have my bookclub meeting last night, but I just wasn't feeling up to pretending to feel ok, so I stayed home and was miserable to be around. At least I don't have to live with me ;) and today I went for an hour power walk with two other moms (I have a lady i walk with and my sister-in-law invited herself along) and babies. We looked like a baby brigade! And I spent the better part of the afternoon at Costco.

It is a beautiful day and I don't feel like I have had a chance to really enjoy it, so I am going to do that now. Have a great afternoon.
